The TIR Carnet is a customs transit document that facilitates international land transportation and thus international trade.
The goods are transported under a procedure under the auspices of the TIR Carnet from the customs office at the departure point to the customs office at the destination and this procedure is referred to as ay TIR transport subje under the TIR Convention.
Each TIR Carnet has a different reference number. It is divided into two types as 6 and 14 sheets according to the number of pages it contains. The scorecard page numbers are printed differently, taking into account the number of countries and / or customs administrations to be passed in transit, arrival and transit. For this, the TIR Carnet should be taken into account, and the number of customs, transit and destination customs administrations to be traded shall be taken into account. For example, a 6-leaf TIR Carnet can be used between 6 customs offices.
The TIR Carnet is issued for a single TIR carriage. The goods are supplied with TIR Carnet to transit, transit and destination customs. The TIR Carnet is duly certified to the relevant customs authority. After this process, the TIR Carnet is returned to the room where the TIR operations are carried out, to be forwarded to the guarantor.
